The K2 Maia is an innovative skate that is literally designed to revolutionize the world. Unlike many of its predecessors, the Maia is manufactured using as many eco-friendly materials as possible. Its frame is constructed from Bamboo, a material that is as strong as aluminum, but sustainable in the environment. It still features K2's innovative Softboot design, but uses recycled Polyethylen-terephthalat, or PET, which again is another sustainable material. When all of these items are combined with 84mm wheels and ILQ-7 bearings, you have a complete skate package that is as strong and durable as any skate on the market, but much more environmentally friendly.
